Lane Tournier

April 23, 1987

Coming from a long standing Chuckwagon Family, Lane has been around the sport his entire life. His biggest influence in the sport has been his father, Luke Tournier, who won the Calgary Stampede in 2005 and 14 CPCA Show Championships. This will be Lane’s second year with the CPCA, finishing 17th in 2017 which improved his 2016 finish of 21st 4 spots. Lane had 2 Top 20 show finishes last year. With Lane’s strong family chuckwagon roots and the strong finish to 2017, Lane is looking forward to the 2018 season as he continues to grow new outfits.

Hometown: Duck Lake, SK.

Favourite Meal: Medium rare prime rib, crab legs, and a baked or mashed potato.

Favourite Vacation Spot: Anywhere I’m close to family and friends.

How did you get into Chuckwagon Racing: I got into chuckwagon racing because I was raised in it. My mom and dad decided to start racing the year I was born and it continues to be the only thing I’ve ever known during the summer months.

Most Memorable Chuckwagon Racing Moment: Stepping in to the Calgary Stampede stage with my family in 2005 when my dad reached his dream of winning the Calgary Stampede for the first time.
