They have been called the "Unsung Heroes", the "Wild Bunch", the "Kamikaze Cowboys" and at times just "Darn Crazy".  Whatever way you look at it, its a true test of strength, guts and agility with no room for error.  Hold a high strung lead team and when the horn sounds haze them to the top barrel while holding onto your horse making sure your are clear of all competitors.  Then as your equine partner attempts to drag you away you must mount up using just the saddle horn and your agility.  Thats right no stirrups.  Mount up make the figure 8 pattern and ride cowboy ride and don't be late.

Many have attempted and many have failed but for some who have what it takes they experience the adrenaline and success.
