
PRAIRIE RACING SERIES
The series consists of a qualifying round with points accumulated from the North Battleford, Yorkton, Cold Lake, Wainwright, St. Walburg, Meadow Lake, Little Pine and Turtleford shows. The top 8 drivers (Point Wagons Only) with the most points from these shows will qualify for the playoff round during the first 3 days of the Saskatoon show.
These top 8 drivers will race in the last 2 heats the first 3 nights. Of those 8 drivers the top 4 with the most series points will race in the last heat and the other 4 will race in the 2nd last heat. In the event there is a tie in points the driver with the fastest cumulative time through out the series will be ranked higher.During the 3 day playoff the fastest driver nightly of those 8 drivers will receive 8 points the 2nd fastest will receive 7 and down the line with the slowest driver receiving 1 point. The points over the first 3 nights will be added together. The 4 drivers with the most points will race on day #4 for the DON LAING TRAILERS CPCA Prairie Racing Series Championship. In the event there is a tie for points the fastest cumulative time over the first 3 days will determine the placing.
The 4 finalists DRAW for their barrel positions during the driver introductions on day #4 with the #1 ranked driver drawing 1st.
The winner of the DON LAING TRAILERS CPCA Prairie Racing Series is awarded a new $20,000 Charmac Horse Trailer sponsored by DON LAING TRAILERS (Ponoka, AB and Crossfield, AB)
